Andrés Moreno García

Mexican tenor, Andrés Moreno García, embarked on his international professional journey in 2013, gracing stages across the globe with his remarkable performances in opera roles and concerts.


In the 2017-2018 season, he became a part of the International Opernstudio at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden. Following the completion of his studio training, he ascended to the ensemble of this prestigious opera house in the 2021-2022 season.


Andrés has successfully debuted in various pivotal roles, including Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Ferrando (Così fan tutte), Rodolfo (La Bohème), Alfredo (La Traviata), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Italian Singer (Der Rosenkavalier), and numerous others.


His expertise extends to the concert repertoire, where he has delivered captivating performances in Verdi's Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, and an array of other notable works.

Under the baton of maestros such as Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Antonio Pappano, and Alexander Soddy, Andrés has shared the stage with luminaries including Plácido Domingo, Anna Netrebko, Ramón Vargas, Angela Gheorghiu, Piotr Beczała, and Elina Garanča.


Andrés Moreno García has garnered acclaim, winning prestigious prizes in renowned competitions like the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Opera Index Competition, Giulio Gari Competition, Opera San Miguel Competition, Amici Competition, Yale Opera, and American Opera Idol Competition. Educationally accomplished, Andrés holds a Bachelor's in Music from the University of Hartford and a Master's in Music from Yale University.
